A HEAD CHEF POSITION ON A 34M MOTOR YACHT (CAYMAN ISLAND FLAGGED)  (PRIVATE)

WORK INFORMATION:

A 34M motor yacht is currently searching for a Head Chef to join their crew of 3. The candidate will need to be aged mid 20’s to mid 30’s and must be well presented, cheerful personality and hard working and a team player. The candidate will need to have experience on a similar size yacht and must have been a Head Chef for at least a year or more, or have worked in the international super yacht industry for at least 2 years. The candidate will need to be extremely organized and flexible at all times, be able to work outside their duties when required.  Yacht is owned by a European owner who has an older family. The yacht is currently in the Gold Coast and will be heading to Europe on Dock wise in April 2012 and will be in the Med for a few years. The chef will travel with the owners whether it be on the yacht or their houses in Brisbane & New Caledonia

Skills required for this job: Must be clean, well organized, be able to do provisioning in remote places. Be able to cook European & Asian foods

BENEFITS:  5.5 day week, days of in lieu if not able to be taken during each week for some reason, days off in lieu will be paid out. Medical and accident insurance will be provided, one flight (economy will be provided) per year.

Uniform/food/accommodation will be provided. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

STCW 95, Computer skills for inventory, accounts, and filing. Be able to help on deck when needed and be prepared to do watches.

ITINERARY:  

• 15December20011 to 15January 2012 Southport Marina 
• 2012 Tonga, Cook Islands and French Polynesia

START DATE:  Immediate

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:  Full time.  Longevity is a must.

SALARY:  $4500 - $5500 USD per month, however salary is to be discussed if you should obtain an interview and will be paid according to experience.
